My Pictures

I am a person who likes to take many pictures and I have decided that I should post a site to show some of the best on. Some of the types of pictures I like to take are rail fan pictures (this site), and scenery (my personal site). Some of this is video and I have provided it in the mp4 format with the hope that everyone can access it with at least one of their devices.

My Collection

I have also been given possession of some one else's rail road pictures that were almost lost in a fire, so I have decided on doing a site to host both my pictures and theirs. They range from Mattawamkeag, Maine to Boston and western Mass, and tend to run between South Portland, Maine and Leeds Junction, Maine.

I also have a power-point, Railroads of Southern Maine with pictures and directions to some of the other rail-fan sites. If your browser does not play it right try downloading it, and playing it in a PowerPoint program.

When I first started this page I didn't know about PHP and worked completely in HTML. Changing navigation meant I had to change every page, and would have meant uploading the whole site again. Now I am using PHP includes for the navigation and other repeat items. I have the navigation all repaired as of February 2017, and went back to working on pictures.

I added new engine pages, reworked the php for the pictures and made numerous corrections and information additions in July and August of 2018.

The scanner feed was added in March of 2019 and is routed through a broadcastify site.

In the fall of 2023 I added a section for stations of the area. The Surviving Stations are stations from former railroads that still exist, the Fallen Stations are stations that are gone now, and the New Stations are stations built for Amtrak and MBTA service.
